QHSE and CSR
Health and safety, environment, quality
Health and Safety are fundamental values of the company. Under the leadership of the Spiecapag’s Health and Safety Committee, created in 2012, the continuous improvement action plan continues, year after year, with new actions to ensure that the realities on the ground are still and always taken into account.
Since then, our international projects have achieved more than 48 million hours worked without a fatality.
On the Projects, the development and deployment of effective Health and Safety Management Plans has enabled work to be carried out without any notable incidents, proof that a voluntary and consistent safety approach leads to project success. The excellence of the results is the product of the significant efforts made by the project teams with the committed support of the management team.
Spiecapag’s commitment to preserving biodiversity was illustrated in Greece on the TAP project by the replanting of 40,000 plant species, in addition to waste treatment and water reprocessing.
Similarly, the reclamation of excavated soil and the control of erosion, which are the rule for any worksite carried out by the company, were accompanied, in the Val de Saône project, by actions to protect fauna, in particular white-clawed crayfish.
Finally, our ongoing commitment to Quality contributes to the satisfaction of our clients’ requirements and needs during the execution of our projects. This is evidenced by the fact that in February 2021 we obtained ISO 3834-2 certification (Quality in Welding) for the welding operations of our Spiecapag Régions France entity in Toulouse.
Spiecapag’s Management System, recertified in July 2019 by Bureau Veritas Certification, meets the requirements of the international Standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 which integrate Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
Social Responsibility – Sustainable Development
Our ability to take into account the interests of all project stakeholders is essential for the future of our company, whose projects, complex and often in sensitive and isolated regions, are, in essence, high stakes for stakeholders and the environment.
Since 2010, Spiecapag has been implementing a Corporate Social Responsibility approach. This is an innovative approach in the world of pipeline construction, as we remain one of the first companies to have a long-term commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. The interest aroused among our clients confirms the validity of our policy.
Since 2014, under the guidance of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, in which a representative of the Works Council participates, the deployment of the “Cap 2025” action plan has continued and has been enriched with new actions.
The implementation of the action plan, which has been assessed since 2011 by AFNOR certification, has resulted in the award of level 3 “Confirmed” of the “Committed to CSR” reference framework (AFAQ 26000 – referring to the Guidelines of the international standard ISO 26000).
